Essex 2m Activity Afternoon 25 March 2017

Thurrock Acorns ARC LogoA reminder that today, Saturday the 25th of March 2017, sees another Essex 2 metre Activity Afternoon.

Please show your support, get on-air, and kick some life into 2m.

This county-wide event is organised by the Thurrock Acorns ARC, with the aim of getting some more local activity between 144 and 146MHz.

The activity starts between 1pm and 5pm, and TAARC reports that if all goes to plan, the following modes will be active: FM, SSB, CW and SSTV.

Several members of Essex Ham will be active on Saturday in support of the event, and we’d ask everyone reading this to join in and get active on 2m this Saturday.

Essex Ham Field Event

Unless there’s a significant change in the weather, Essex Ham will be gathering at the group’s regular Shoebury East Beach location to support the event. We’ll be gathering from 1pm for a fun afternoon of radio. All are welcome. It’s expected to be a little chilly, so wrap up warm.

Details of the venue, here: Amateur Radio at Shoebury East Beach

All welcome. Come and play. (Reminder that car parking fees apply at this venue)
