On Tuesday the 15th of December 2015, the South Essex Amateur Radio Society (SEARS) held their annual Christmas Social. Over 30 members and visitors turned out to catch up with friends, and celebrate what’s been a very successful year.
2015 has seen the introduction of Foundation Training, a very busy and varied programme of field days, plus club nights, nets, social events and a busy Canvey Rally. There’s also been an influx in new members, as word has spread about this active club.
The evening featured several items of show-and-tell brought along by members, a scrolling display of videos from recent field days and activities, plus a good selection of festive nibbles. As well as being an opportunity to catch up with friends and chat, there was the chance to get an update on plans for 2016, which start with the popular Canvey Radio Rally on the 7th of February at The Paddocks on Canvey.
Well done to all of the team at SEARS for a very busy year, and laying on a great social evening.
