HRD and Yaesu FT450D (1 reply and 1 comment)
I would normally say RF getting into the system as it was an issue I had until I got a better quality cable.
You should not be getting RF problems at 10 watts though ?

Many thanks for your reply Richard, the cable supplier said the same thing, it is an FTDI cable that wasn't a cheapie.
I have solved the problem by rolling back the driver for the cable, the FT450D doesn't seem to like the latest online driver, but has been working fine with the ones that came on the disc.

HI, hoping someone out there might have a clue as to what's going on ('cos I don't).
Just got a brand new FT450D but having problems with cat control.
Everythings fine until I go to transmit, when the radio has a mind of it's own on output power. This only happens whilst connected to the PC.
I have a new FTDI cable, it's not the laptop (I've tried two), and its not HRD as I have the same problem with Yaesu's own PCC program, so I'm guessing it's either the radio or the cable.
Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts..
