End fed horizontal advice (No replies)

I am thinking of putting up an end fed wire between my
house and my workshop which are about 35ft apart and
intend to connect it with about 30ft of coax feeder through
an ATU to a SW receiver. I could make the wire about half
wavelength for the 20M band and it would be about 22ft
above ground.
This is intended for Receive Only SW listening and I would
hope that using the ATU would give me wide SW coverage.
The receiver connection is SKT239. Would I need to provide
any seperate RF Ground?
Also, I have a steel cored, nylon covered clothes drying
line in parallel just below, suspended from the same end
fixings. What sort of effect, if any, would this have on the
antenna performance?
I have not been involved with this sort of activity for 50yrs
so would be grateful for any comments /suggestions before
proceeding.
