Hi Paul,
can you remember if you used software like "Chirp" or manually programmed them from the keypad?
if chirp you will need a programming cable and ideally the pc/laptop you used last time, if you find the pc / laptop used last time you may have saved the config, if so you can just re-upload to your radios
if not you will need to download the current default config from your baofeng, edit it and then upload it back to the baofeng
latest version of chirp can be downloaded from https://archive.chirpmyradio.com/chirp_next/next-20250509/
if you can let me know you local repeaters i can probably help with CSV file you can import into the chirp image downloaded from your baofeng
attached is my local config of channels, it has all the normal 2m voice channels, the ISS repeater and my local repeaters as a starting point, GB3OA is likely your local repeater, so i have added it, also in there is the closest "HubNet" i can find which may work,
hubnet uses internet gateways (like echolink) and you get worldwide as you connect over radio to a gateway, then it links via the internet to other gateways then radio to the other stations, when i listen to hubnet, i hear US, Canada, Australia and various other countries but mainly UK
you local club seems to be Southport and District Amateur Radio Club (SADARC) about 1/2 way down the page you find their meeting locations and times, someone there may be able to help hands on for you as well
keep active

i forgot the file, the CSV you can import into chirp is in the zip file attached

Hello wonderful people. A few years ago I bought two baofengs and (I can’t remember how) but managed to programme in the repeater that’s local to me in Southport. I’d often scam freq as well. Long story short. I had a stroke 2 years ago and only just found the radios. I’ve charged and reset them. Knocking off all the repeaters. The channels I listened to. Does anyone or could anyone please help me. Possibly my stroke but I find it hard to communicate and quite isolated. Can someone help me with advice- specifics so I can re enter the freq and tones and offsets etc to access the repeater. And if anyone has any specific freq I can listen to, I’d be grateful. Sorry for long message. Im
not well and feel very imbecilic as a result. i have an MSc so im
not silly. But this is really frustrating
