Newly passed person here!
I’ve got a FT450D and a FT857D which are set up on my bench.
I was going to get a few different moomraker whips for the car, maybe install the ft857d in the car under the seat. That would give me access to most things mobile. (I can use while my son is at football etc etc)
Then I would be without a UHF/VHF rig for home. So would need something to replace it with.
Any suggestions ? Or I’m I doing the wrong thing entirely?!
For reference I have a home made 2m/70cms j-pole tuned with a VNA.
10 meter long wire on to a unun (49:1) but I’m told I should have a (9:1)?
