Yaesu VX7R / FT450 / FT 857 For Sale (1 reply and 7 comments)
Hi. Possibly interested in the VX7R to get started on the 6m band.
What sort of price are we talking?
Cheers
Hi - Looking around they normally go for £180 plus, however, I think that £135 would be a keen price - what do you think? John.
Hi John
Yes, I can do £135, and pay for postage and packing, if you can post/courier it (I'm not in Essex).
I can arrange payment any method that suits you.

The VX7R is now sold :)
Arrived promptly, and well packaged.
A pleasure doing business with John G7JYR.
PS. The cat is really enjoying the big box and all the packaging material. He has made a den of it.
Thank you - I am glad you are pleased, and am delighted your cat is having fun :)
UPDATE: The price for the FT 450 is £370.00 which is an absolute steal! The FT 857 Head / Control Unit plus spare parts is £100 (I saw a faulty one selling for £140 on eBay recently, this one has no faults on the LCD screen. Both units are priced below market value as I do not want the hassle of selling them on eBay and would rather they went to an enthusiast. Please note these items are collection only. Thank you for reading - John.

Hello, I am having a bit of a clear out and have the following items for sale:
Yaesu VX7R (Black) Good Condition with original tri-band antenna, Yaesu charger and a case for putting other batteries in. Unmodded. Super 6m/2m/70cm handheld. Hardly used the TX section, mainly used for listening.
Yaesu FT 450 (Non-inbuilt tuner variant). Good condition, Wide TX'd by W&S from whom I purchased the unit new. Has had very little use due. Fist microphone and 12V lead included.
Yaesu FT 857 - For spares only - not working! I purchased the unit new, sold it, and then purchased it back again with a view of doing something with it. The chap I sold it to removed the top PCB (I suspect he that did a wide TX mod that went horribly wrong and was rather embarrassed). I have been able to test the front control panel (Turns on an illuminates - no visible faults on LCD screen). Has fist microphone and 12V lead. I have no idea what else may or may not work on it, an is being sold for parts.
I am open to offers on any of the above. Thank you for reading.
John
