Some old bits. (4 replies)
Hello Paul,
I am just nearing the end of my intermediate course at Danbury and these bits and pieces sound like they would be useful for some of my projects that I have planned.
I am not particularly well off financially as I am disabled and on benefits pending my retirement soon.
I have taken up Amateur radio as a hobby as something that I can do with my disabilities because my days of sailing , canoeing and fishing are over due to my health.
I am enjoying the technical side as much as the QSO's I have with everyone and I have built several antennas that seem to work quite well.
I would be very interested in your bits and pieces if they are not going to be too expensive.

Sorry I have already passed the mast bits on but I do have all the old radios, an old PSU, old speaker and a few mobile antenna's and a couple of magnets, Box full of odd boards and components that you can have for nothing. All the radios can be converted for the ham bands. I live in South Woodham Ferrers if you can collect. PM me for address and phone number.
I used to love building antenna's. I was very lucky once to live in the countryside and had a 100ft back garden and I built myself a big mast as had no restrictions on space. I switched my hobby to computers and build my own when I am well. I do understand how living with disability can restrict your quality of life. I sometimes visit HamSphere but have not done for over a year or more.

I have been in the process of clearing out the house and now the garage. I want this radio gear gone out of my way. There are actually 3 x 936mhz radio's and 2 x 27 mhz radios along with a few mobile antenna's, 2 have magmounts and one looks like the old modulator antenna with the yellow bit on the coil. There is also an old PSU and some wire that would make a very good HF antenna. Also some old boards and components. I can't PM you Gordon as your profile is set to private and it's been at least a couple of days since I replied so I take it that you are not interested. If that is the case then this is up for grabs for anybody else that wants it all for NOTHING. If I don't get some kind of reply by tomorrow then it is all going to the recycling centre. Sorry to be harsh but I want an empty garage.

Clearing out the garage and the loft and have a couple of 27 mhz's CB's and a couple of 936 Mhz's CB's, Some work and some need some small attention. Also have some kevlar mast wire and stainless silver mast wires. An old power supply and a few very old mobile CB antenna's. I am open to a drink if anybody is interested. Want to pass it on to someone with an amateur radio license preferentially to an A license holder or at least someone with an intermediate license (50 watt). If there are any hams on here that are interested please reply here or PM me.
