<p>New Foundations whine about not having access to 400W. Have they the slightest idea what the necessary RF amp and AMU actually cost? Then think about the EMF implications…</p>
<p>It is all about wanting something for nothing: free and gratuitous in this day and age seems to be the expectation.</p>
<p>Can't do the maths for the higher level exams? Bloody well learn it. I did. It's not rocket science.</p>

<p>i have a full license and never use more than 50w and work the world on HF</p>
<p>satellites you generally use 5w or less </p>
<p>and the lower the power the less likely you are yo annoy your neighbours with RFI</p>
<p>you can get much further with 50w into a good antenna than 400w into a poor antenna, so i would say save the money of the high power rig / amp and get / make a better antenna</p>

<p>Conditions are great at the moment and we're heading towards the peak of cycle 25. Perhaps we're too busy playing radio to post on a forum.</p>
<p>eye keep an eye on the forum and answer most posts i see, i do the same over on hamhub as well</p>
