I'm a bit out of your area so can't really help with a csv for your repeaters but, regarding your next radio;
The FT 8900 is quad band FM, but you need to ask is there really much FM activity on 10m & 6m ? I've heard 10m repeaters from the USA when conditions are good but not recently.
I'm just thinking that for the same sort of money you could get the Yaesu FTM-100 and be able to access the digital world on 2m & 70cms.
You can then chat to people countrywide or worldwide via the Wires-X connectivity (depends on your local repeaters).
But equally there are D-Star and DMR radios to consider if you want to go down the digital route each with their own networks.
Something to think about anyway.

Hi Malcolm,
Appreciate the reply...
I must admit I have been thinking about getting just a 2m/70cm rig instead for the car, and then looking for something else for home.
Hopefully going to the local rally in a couple of weeks so will have a look there and talk to as many people as I can and then make a decision.
Thanks for the advice...

Hi,
Passed my Foundation in January, Before I passed I got a Baofeng uv-5r that I've been using to listen. Been trying to find a csv (chirp) file... figured a good starting point would be all the local repeaters including Kent, Essex, London and Sussex...
Anyone got a csv file I could use and if not point me in the right direction?
Also been thinking about the next radio to buy and was looking at the Yaesu FT8900... Wondered if anyone had one and could give me an honest opinion if its a good choice.
Thanks.
