    • Need help to secure a mast QI am looking for ideas on how to use a concrete boundary marker to secure a mast to hold the end of a End Fed Half Wave. The picture below shows the type of marker and I was thinking of using saddle clamps to secure the mast to the marker but the only holes run north to south and I don't want to try and drill holes in it. The mast will be between and 15' and 20' with no weight on it, just holding the EFHW above the ground. I cannot attach to the fence behind, and I don't want to use guy ropes if I can

    • Hoping someone can help me identify this antenna and how to how use it I bought this antenna about 5 years ago on eBay. To me it works great but it didn't come with any instructions and I don't really know how it works (soon I will as I'm studying for my icenses). I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how it works and how to use it effectively. I was going to try and reverse engineer it to see if I can figure out how it's constructed, but haven't done that yet.

    • TYT TH-9800 Afternoon all. I have been given two TYT TH-9800 radios. Both are damaged in different ways so the plan is to make one good radio from them. The easiest way for me to do this will be to replace the final in one - the other has an undamaged one. But the radio with the good final is interesting - the previous owner managed to plug the fist mic into the main unit where the facia should plug in, and now it won't turn on. So herein lies my question - what damage would that have done to the radio? A search online hasn't given me much information so far.

    • Anytone AT779UV Good morning  I am looking at the AnyTone AT779UV as a mobile / mini base station, because I am not picking up much local activity in Burton.   The radio has three transmitted power levels of 5, 10 and 25w.   Would I be able to use the radio at the full 25w under a foundation licence, which is 25w maximum ?
