The Foundation exam can be taken online, so you don&#8217;t necessarily need to travel to an amateur radio club or examination centre.<\/p>\n<p>You can find more information about the process on our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.essexham.co.uk\/train\/online-exams\/\">UK amateur radio online exams<\/a><\/strong> page.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the examination arrangements available to you, it may also be possible to take the exam through a local amateur radio club.<\/p>\n<h2>What do I need for the Foundation exam?<\/h2>\n<p>Before sitting the exam, you&#8217;ll need to prove your identity to the invigilator.<\/p>\n<p>A current passport or photo driving licence is normally the simplest option. Other suitable documentation may also be accepted.
