Thurrock Acorns Amateur Radio Club – Club Profile

Thurrock Acorns ARC LogoOn this page, you’ll find information on the Thurrock Acorns Amateur Radio Club (TAARC), one of the amateur radio clubs in Essex.

Thurrock Acorns is one of the newer clubs in Essex, having formed in January 2014. It is concentrating on members in and around the Grays Thurrock area, with plans for field days and club activities in the local area.

To get the club’s members more involved, there are various activity coordinators, who report on progress at the monthly club meetings. The club is also involved with Foundation training, with plans to offer all three levels of training, according to demand.

The Thurrock Acorns ARC meets once a month at the 1st Grays Scout Hut in Grays and the club runs a weekly 2m net (simplex, not via a repeater).
